Go Grommit Go!
When Grommit, a smooth coated border collie, joined our household at the age of 8 weeks, I knew he was destined for grand things in life. He was a ‘Go, Go, Go’ dog, ready for everything and anything. He got a Canine Good Citizen certificate at the age of 8 months. In the years to come he built an incredible career in flyball and agility. A flyball Champion and a multi-times agility Champion, I thought we could reach for the stars for many years to come. As a performance dog, he’s always been on a specific diet and the standard supplements to keep the body fit. However, in the last year, I started noticing a slowing down trend in the enthusiasm for daily activities. While other dogs were clambering to get out to run, he preferred to keep the couch warm.
